What is the standard payment policy?
Standard payments is a non-refundable deposit equal to 1/3 of the total cost for the rental. This non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, and will secure the equipment you require for the dates specified. Full payment is expected before any equipment is set up.
How are cancellations dealt with?
The non-refundable deposit is kept by Roberts Rental. It should be noted that cancellations seriously effect our business during the summer months due to the high demand, so communication and ample notice (should there be a cancellation) is greatly appreciated.
Do you add additional charges for travel?
After 100KM, additional fuel costs will be negotiated based on fairness to both Roberts Rentals and the renter (for example, the amount of equipment being rented will be considered).
What is included with the price of the tents?
The time frame for the rentals is the entire weekend (what we generally experience is a set up on Friday and take down on Sunday). Included with the prices is set up, take down and travel (within the distance stated above). In addition, the tents will be supplied with lighting fixtures.
How many people can be seated under a square and hexagon tent?
Of course, this depends on the arrangement of the tables and chairs, but a fair estimate would be 100 under the hexagons and 35 – 40 under the squares.
How many people can fit around a round table and the long tables?
Round tables can comfortably fit 8 people and long tables can hold anywhere from 2 – 8 (depending on how the tables are arranged). However, the long tables are often used as the head tables at events such as weddings, therefore changing the seating amount.
Are the tents flamable?
The short answer is: extremely. The tents will ignite very easily should a flicker from a fire come in contact, so it’s strongly advised to avoid fires near the tents.
How large is the dance floor?
The dancing surface area is 15′ by 15′. The approximate weight of the floor is 1,200 pounds in total, so it’s an extremely durable surface, and has been known to take quite a pounding.
Are we, the renters. responsible for any cleanup (ie. the table clothes)?
No. All cleanup in regards to our equipment is our responsibility, although take-down assistance is never turned away!
Do you supply heaters?
At this point in time, we do not supply heaters.
How durable are the tents to extreme weather?
The marquis tents are quoted to sustain 55 miles/hour winds, although we’re yet to test them (hopefully that will never happen). While the logical use for tents is rain protection, they are more valuable in extreme heat and act as a cooling agent against the sun. Overall, they can handle any weather.
How much notice in advance must be given for rentals?
We usually require a days notice, although we strongly recommend early booking due to the high demand for our service.
